JK & SK ART

Today students created cards for the important women in their family for the upcoming "Mother's Day."

GR. 7 & 8 DESIGN

Work period for skateboards.

GR. 8 HISTORY

Students worked on their maps in groups for the island, planet, new country that they are settling in. Groups presented their maps to the class and voted on the best one.

We had a discussion about leadership and why it is important to have a strong leader in a community. Candidates for leadership wrote speeches and others in the class created a list of things that they want in a leader. Candidates read their speeches to their peers and a vote took place.

After the leader was chosen, as a class, we discussed important jobs needed in a settlement and how many people would be needed for each position. Students were assigned a job and came up with a "Job Action" to be discussed in class tomorrow.
