I hold an Honours Bachelor Degree in English and Visual Arts from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Education from Queen's University. My interests include: travel, 19th century literature, rugby, ice hockey, bluegrass music, mixed media art & art history.

Today students participated in a round-table discussion/note-taking/question session regarding their Unit Test next Tuesday April 5th. If students have further questions they are encouraged to ask them in tomorrow's class before the start of the weekend.

Due to technical difficulties our online interactive assessment has been pushed back two days. Students are asked to continue bringing a laptop to school next week to both start and continue the assessment.

AUTISM AWARNESS DAY!
Saturday April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day.

Today students finished their Ecological Footprint handouts and compared their footprint with that of the person sitting next to them. We discussed (as a class) ways in which we can reduce our footprint in our day-to-day life.

Today we made Easter Egg Maracas in class!
Grade 7 & 8 Design Technology
Students defined the term Ecological Footprint. They also calculated their own Ecological Footprints and are in the process of identifying ways in which they can reduce their footprint on a personal and everyday level.

*Thursday & Friday this week students will require a laptop computer for their end of unit assessment. If your child is unable to gain access to a laptop computer please email me tonight or tomorrow and I will find a different source for their assessment.*

Today we continued with presentations. This Friday students will be writing a Daily Life in 1850's Canada unit test. Students are asked to review their notes and ask any questions regarding the topic before the end of Thursday's class.

The Merchant of Manhattan
The Merchant of Manhattan
Production is this Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
From 6:00-7:00 p.m. the grade 7's and 8's will be hosting a bake sale to raise money for the arts program.
Also, on Wednesday night we will be providing child care for any families who have younger children.This will take place in Ms. Padovan's room and will start at 6:30 p.m.

MYP students took advantage of Free-Design day! They could choose between designing their own colouring page and/or colouring an existing one.
Grade 8 History
Today students had a work period to complete the putting together of their Daily Life presentations. These presentations are due Monday March 21st.
