September 16th

Grade 5 & 6

Today we again created environmental art. Students understood that their works are temporary, how to find their own artistic materials in nature, to collaborate, and learn valuable problem-solving and trial-and-error skills. They also took photos of their own work to print and bring to class next week.

Senior Kindergarten

Continuing with our "Animals" theme, today we traced our hands and made them into animals. We also learned how to fold our pieces of construction paper into envelopes by one of the students.

Grade 7 & 8 Art

Today we discussed the Diary of Anne Frank and Leonardo Da Vinci's sketchbook as examples of identity journaling. We then continued on with our knowledge of contour and continuous line.

Grade 7 Technology

Today we continued working on our Elements and Principles handout.

Grade 8 Technology

Today we continued working on our "Rube Goldberg" assignment. Students are to make sketches or take screenshots of their designs as well as write a list of materials. We will be putting them together and testing them on Monday.

Grade 9 & 10 Art

Today we were given a handout as a better guideline for our research. We had a work period to finish answering questions about our chosen famous self-portraits.
