Jk & Sk Art

Today we read the book called "The Dot" and discussed the importance of trying new things and that it's okay to make mistakes because that's how we learn, especially in art class.

7 & 8 Design

Today groups presented, and we discussed as a class, the following questions related to our Graffiti Design unit:

a) How might graffiti affect the rights of others?
b) Are some types of graffiti more acceptable than others?
c) How has graffiti been used historically and politically?
d) What types of graffiti are there and what functions do they serve?
e) Does banning graffiti intrude on the freedom of others?

8 History

Today we discussed group research questions as an introduction to our Confederation unit of study. Students were also introduced to Heritage Minutes and the factors leading to confederation as a starting point for their next project.
